Jonathan rode Elkie (his '99 BMW R1100GS) to Tuolumne Meadows in 2005 — solo, east side of Yosemite, late in the day. A long exposure at dusk. The camera holds the shutter open long enough that the river stops moving. The water smooths out, the light goes pastel, and for a moment the whole scene holds its breath.

The Tuolumne River runs through the eastern stretch of Yosemite National Park, a high meadow landscape far from the valley crowds. This frame captures the quiet transition between day and night — when the river slows, the light softens, and the mountains hold onto the last of it.
